Coming Soon! Really!
Since our last update, the team at Queen City Brewery has made some real progress! The brewhouse (hot liquor tank, brew kettle, mash tun, and lauter tun) is now complete. The piping was quite a puzzle, but the result makes us smile:
We fired up the 900k btu steam boiler for the first time last week and, yup, it makes steam! We will soon test out the brewhouse vessels, but we first need to complete the wiring for the control system. Here’s a shot of the “brain” housed over the boiler room in the rear of our facility:
While we put the final touches on the brewery, our design team (Sarah, Maarten, and Paul) has worked overtime to create a comfortable tasting room, featuring a new entry:
