It has been a busy couple of months for everyone at Queen City Brewery. Our ongoing warehouse renovation is nearly complete, with the electrical and mechanical inspections out of the way, and the final inspection taking place very soon. We really are almost ready to open our doors and share our favorite beer styles with you.
Our first batch, the Antwerp-style Amber, Saint Amandus (named after the patron saint of brewers), is being chilled prior to filtration and kegging. Its sibling brew, the Duchess of Antwerp, is a Belgian blond. It has finished fermenting and is presently conditioning for a bit.
These two brews were followed up by our ESB and Porter, both inspired by the wonderfully balanced ales of Yorkshire, England. And we will brew our City Beer (a Kölsch-style ale) this week, and the first of several German lagers next week.
Stayed tuned – we will be posting our initial tasting room hours soon!
