Here at Queen City Brewery, we have a couple of new classic European styles nearly ready for release. These will be available on tap at the brewery (with growlers and bumpers to go) and in 22 oz. “bombers” at QCB and your favorite Vermont craft beer stores. Look for both styles later this month.
Gregarious: Unabashedly malty and rich, Queen City’s Scotch ale is made from the finest Scottish malts. Kettle caramelization of the malt sugars combined with cool fermentation temperatures produces a smooth, full-bodied strong ale. (ABV 7.5% IBU 26)
Barge Canal Oatmeal Extra Stout: Made from Scottish and English malts with a generous proportion of oats and flaked barley, Queen City’s Extra Stout is silky-smooth and rich, with a coffee-like roastiness, hints of toffee and dark fruit, and a warming alcohol finish. (ABV 6.8% IBU 24)
And to top things off, our annual Oktoberfest lager will be released in mid-September. It’s just delicious…and it too will be available in 22 oz. bottles.
Queen City Oktoberfest: Full-bodied, yet refreshing, Queen City Oktoberfest is a traditional German Märzen-style lager, with a complex, toasty malt profile. (5.5% abv, 30 IBU)
